Dates: 26th-28th November 2025
Location: Brisbane, Australia
This event will bring together marine biologists from the western Pacific for the 3rd West Pacific Marine Biology Network Symposium at The University of Queensland.
The Network was launched by CNRS Biologie (France) and fosters collaboration between laboratories in France, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea and others in the region to understand, protect and harness the capabilities of marine organisms that inhabit the western Pacific Ocean.
The Symposium will focus on the biological mechanisms underlying organismal and ecosystem function and health, and how marine organisms develop and adapt to increasingly rapid environmental change and contribute to sustainable bioeconomies. Topics include: molecular, cellular, micro and developmental biology, genomics, holobionts and microbiomes, eco-evo-devo, organismal and cellular communication and behaviour, sensory systems, biochemistry and ecophysiology.
