This event is an international forum where scientists and policy makers from around the world meet to review current challenges in the global management of invasive marine organisms and to share new developments in science and policy.

Biological invasions represent one of the most pervasive global threats to marine ecosystems. Increasing trade, transport and tourism, have greatly expanded the numbers of marine organisms that are moved around the world and the locations to which they are spread.

The ICMB is convened every two years. It operates on a not-for-profit basis under the aegis of the Society for the Study of Marine Bioinvasions, Inc.
